Week #17-Feeling good!

Week # 17-6/14/13
Baby is size of: Onion!

Weight-157.2- So according to my weekly update, I will start gaining weight rapidly and steadily continue to gain one pound a week. It's not fair, I feel like I should be bigger to be gaining a pound a week!!
Change since last week: +1lb
Weight gain overall: 9.2lbs

Symptoms:  Sciatica pain down my left side on and off, peeing twice a night religiously, morning headaches. Let me say-I don't want second trimester to ever end! Going from nausea, exhaustion and crazy insane sore boobs to almost feeling normal is awesome!

Cravings? As much as I hated eggs, I now crave them. I've had one every day this week. I also love my fruit and turkey burgers. Less carbs.

Exercise 2x this week-again. I've now worked out twice a week for a month. It's good, but I want to get up to 3x a week and hopefully 4. I walked to/from the library twice this week and also did Jillian 30DS level 1 as well.

We had a bonfire last Friday with Dan, Beck, Steve, Ronnie, Vanessa, Amanda, Chris, Virginia and Chris. Always a good time! I have to say, I really miss drinking alcohol, but I can wait!

Beck and Steve bought this for us. LOL at the condoms since this was an "oops!"

Baby Thoughts-Natural Birth-We went to two graduations last week and they were nice. It's crazy to think that it has been 13 years since I graduated. Time flies. I got in many conversations with family members talking about babies and birth. I mentioned how I really want to do a med-free birth. My cousins thought I was crazy. Most of my Aunt's had natural births and encouraged it. Both my cousins had medicated births. Now, lets say I am not against it since I know things can happen, but I've done research on pitocin and epidurals causing behavioral issues in children. I just don't want to use medications if I don't have to. I feel like women have been doing this for many, many years without medications. I pray my body works how I want it to in birth, but again, I'm not opposed to intervention if absolutely necessary.

So, I walked to the library and picked up the book above. I would recommend it. It's hilarious. It gives a comical view on pregnancy. I think I found it to be funny since I experienced a lot of things she talked about in the book. It's probably good to pick up the third or fourth month in pregnancy; It makes more sense. I read it in three days, it was good! It's also a good quick read if you're not a big reader like me.

I love my alcohol. I was wondering prior to being pregnant what I was going to do when I got pregnant since I loved alcohol, mainly wine, so much! It's not as bad as I thought. So, this is my "substitute" for wine. It's by called "Fre" by Sutter Home. It's not too bad but it really tastes nothing like alcohol but tastes great when mixed with sprite.  It tastes like a wine cooler! The red blend is my favorite to mix so far.

We're moving Beck and Steve into their place today! I haven't seen their house so I'm excited. We're also having Grandma and Grandpa over for Father's Day Sunday with Mom, Dad, Beck, Steve and Amanda.. Boo for working the weekend. On to week 18!
