Baby is size of: Avocado!
Weight-156.2-I feel as if I'm gaining 1 pound a week steadily, which isn't easy to see, but Oh well! I really haven't been eating different and I'm definitely not as lazy as first trimester. I feel like I've gained 3 pounds in my boobs alone! They say starting 2nd tri, you gain about one pound a week till birth.
Change since last week: +1.2lbs
Symptoms: Welcome Sciatica pain! Down my left side, ugh-no fun, peeing twice a night religiously, boobs are actually less sore. I am again liking second trimester! Feeling very good overall.
Cravings? nothing unusual. I actually ate eggs (hard boiled)! I feel good about eating those since they are so healthy for you
It was a good week. I was on vacation for a few days last week and I went back to work Tuesday really rejuvenated. We spent some time doing yard work, grilling, making dinner, shopping and just relaxing. I love time off with nothing planned! I also went to Water Buffalo to celebrate Jenny's 31st birthday which was really nice. I love that restaurant!
Baby Shopping! I found a bargain! See picture below. I went to Bye Bye baby last Saturday just to snoop around. They have gently used baby outfits for 1.75! I will buy some once we know for sure what we are having. Then I turn around and there are crib sets. I found an 8-piece Winnie the Pooh set: 2 fitted sheets, bed ruffle, bumper (prob won't use), pillow, quilt, Valance-all for 40.00!!! I couldn't pass it up so I had to buy it. It's such a nice neutral pattern too. I also went to Kohl's and bought my first baby outfit (see below). I had a 10.00 Kohl's card they sent, so that cost me nothing! I kept the receipt of course just in case it's not a boy. I am determined to get bargains on everything we buy :)
Thurs, 6/6/13-16 week appointment. It was a quick one. I saw a male doctor this time, Dr. Hayes. I really like him! Very personable, funny and knowledgeable. He took blood pressure, weight and found baby's heartbeat on the Doppler right a way. By feeling my stomach, he could tell I was 16/17 weeks. I have a feeling this baby is going to be a bigger baby considering how big Dan and I were at birth. Blood pressure was 128/60-still in normal range. My platelet count went up from the first time they tested it from 130 to 132. 140 is considered normal so they will continue to test every few months. Next appointment is the big one! Anatomy scan. We'll be able to see how baby is developing and pretty accurately what the sex is for sure!
Exciting weekend. We're having game night with Beck, Steve, Vanessa and Ronnie and a few others. We're also going to try to have a fire if the pit isn't too wet.. Saturday we are going to my cousin Hannah's graduation party and later going to Dan's cousin's Meme's High School graduation ceremony. Sunday, nothing! Love our lazy Sunday's!
